The Great Wall Of China

One of my target in life is to climb the Great Wall of China. I did it on my 3rd day of Beijing/Tianjin/Chengde trip. There are many parts of Great Wall in China that we can visit such as Badaling. The one I visited is called Ju Yong Pass Great Wall of China. I would like to visit other parts of Great Wall of China someday as all places promise great view of the Great Wall.

This is the view taken from our tour bus. Yes, the road is just beside this rocky mountain. All of us was going ohh ohhh wah wah at this sight.

No mountain is high enough. Yeah you are right! Thus the Chinese built this longest wall in the world many centuries ago.

Though I had a very hard time to climb. I stopped for water every few steps. I'm not weak you know. The step are very steep and more or less equivalent to 2 times those normal steep step.

Spring is near but not yet. These plum blossomed at the side of the Great Wall.

The next time I visit China, I will cruise the Yangtze River. I must do it before 2009 though. For that is the year thousands of town, land and historical landmark will all be completely submerged into the water because of the construction of the Three Gorges Dam(will be the largest hydroelectric dam in the world).

I was intrigued by the Yangtze River since small and I felt extremely sad when the news came out 1 decade ago about the dam construction. Of course there is goodness which is to supply few billions of Chinese water for survival.
