F1 Chinese GP 2005

There's no perfect car yet Alonso was seen zooming away from the others at the last race of 2005, Shanghai GP. Alonso helped Reanult winning the 2005 Championship Title yesterday after winning the 2005 Driver's Championship himself 2 races ago. He is the youngest F1 champion ever.

All was over for West McLaren constructors' title chase when Montoya 'blindly' drove over a drain cover because he was driving 'wide'. At that time all West McLaren can do is to sit and hope Alonso will make a mistake or two. But NO NO NO!

IF Kimi become first and Alonso 2nd in this race(both team will have equal total points), the Constructors' Championship will fall to West McLaren even though at the start of this race Renault was leading by 2 points. But because West McLaren won 11 times instead of Renault 6 times(i think so, or 7 ?) the title will go to West McLaren. If only lah.....Ahem ahem

Fernando Alonso was born on 29th July 1981 in Spain. Remember Fernando Alonso when he first joined the world of F1 ? That was in year 2001. Flavio Briatore placed him at Minardi that year and in 2002 he became Renault's test driver. 2003 onwards he became Renault main driver and the rest is history(just 2 years in Renault and he's world champion now!!!). Maybe he's been lucky, having a superb Renault car with little problem unlike Kimi's. Maybe the secret to be a winner is to have a good car and lots of luck.

Narain Karthikeyan drove a good race in the 2005 season(300% better than Alex Yoong). Now I hope he can get a place for a drive or even become a 3rd driver in 2006. I want to see more of him next year with a better team. Thank God he's OK after yesterday's crash. Yesterday's crash was one of the most gureling crash in F1 history. All 3 tyres gone...TV never show/explaine how or why he crashed.

Some hilarious moments...
1. At the start of the race, BAR honda radioed Sato to tell him the other's car position. "LEFT LEFT Sauber on your LEFT! RIGHT RIGHT Williams RIGHT!!!". Thank God Sato managed through the field.

2. After the 2nd time yellow car came out, both Fisichella and Kimi pitted(who were 2nd and 3rd respectively) but Kimi went away faster than Fisichella(coz Kimi put in little fuel compared to Fisichella). After coming out of pit lane, Renault radioed Fisichella "Don't PANIC, all is under control, don't PANIC!!!".

3. My, my what ever happened to Michael Schumacher ? Was he asleep during the yellow car lap ?

4. After Alonso was flagged at the end of the race, I ask my sis "Will they be wearing blue wig at the podium celebration ?".

What to say about this year 2005 F1 season ? Kind of boring for me(coz of Ferrari down form) BUT a new hero emerged and things can never be the same again. I believe Ferrari will not come back next season. Next year the race will be again between Renault and West McLaren. May the good man prevail!

p/s: it's been a long while for me to write such a long F1 review.

Yeah yeah yeah, you the MAN! Alonso and Briatore hugging each other.

aiyoooo....once montoya's out, things became rather anti-climatic. i was hoping to see back-to-back fights until the last lap but it was not to be!!! :(((

why was the drain cover open, anyway??

... lost interest after karthikeyan's accident.

there's still A1, ya?! it ain't hlf so bad!! interesting to see how teams fare in situation that has less hi-tech n efficiency n diff. regulations compared to f1. ;)

I guess they didnt placed the drain cover properly...with more cars go over the drain cover it become more loose until it came out. Too bad Montoya didn't see that cover. Yeah I was hoping both teams to fight tilll the end.

I don't watch A1..nice ?
