Money Management

I went to 1Utama last Saturday and suprise suprise! I didn't buy any clothes or trousers. I did try a few but they are either not nice and no discount or am I beginning to learn how to manage money wisely ? There's a trouser which is RM39, consider oklah right but I put back cause it's Mega Sales wor but how come that trouser not on sale???

Can you teach me how you manage to control your spending ? Really man, give some tips lah. Stuff like petrol, toll and daily living are a must. You can't avoid not spending on those. But shopping...God how do you control 'em?

Since 'hutang' so much $$$, I've been a cute litttle angel. The most I spent was at Guardian. RM100+ only. Hehehehe...

Do you realise that most of us have only the salary that we earned to spend ? How we just have the right salary to spend on paying stuff and not enough to enjoy it ? Have you thought of doing part-time job or doing little business ?

I'm just ranting about life, $$$ and fulfillment.

Money management is kinda difficult at times, yet a serious topic to discuss about.

Yes, salary will be our one and only income for most of us, except those self-employed la. Try to divide things out according to priority and allocate % of your salary in stuffs, for saying, 10% for petrol, 25% for car loan, 20% for saving, year-end bonus for insurance and road tax bla bla bla.... Allocate a few % for miscellaneous, just in case you overspend on that particular month and you have backup money to cover up. As you climb higher in the hierarchy, you tend to earn more and that will be the time to finance again, but the same concept applies.

Hope this may help you a little, buddy! I have been using this little rules and so far it works (for me, at least).

Happy Happy!

Yeah, you are absolutely right, dreamcatcher! Money management is all about self-discipline.

What you mean inner most 'kehendak'? Sounds like something XXX to me. LOL

If it is possible, I do every transaction using credit card, and it only limits to $500 per month (or per statement). Of course, that includes petrol expenses. Other than that, I will have about $300 cash to spend on. (You gotto control not to over-spend ya) So, it will be $800 for daily expenses including petrol and shopping. *wink*

... n u'll do well also to 'fertilize'? ur wealth by donating or giving away a small sum of 'em to charity. ;)
as the adage goes (if i remember correctly ;P): 'what goes around, comes around'.
it gives one a sense of peace n somehow u'll get back double. how the universe works is always a constant wonder!!! insya allah!! god willing!

how about pruning or ploughing or cultivating? let's say, i akin wealth to soil. if u plant seeds on that soil, you'll get results, right?... but if part of the process includes ploughing the soil, u'll unearth richer soil n chances are u'll grow healthier plants. same concept applies with money. u give (plough) some, u'll get something better. :)
