2005 Australian Open Men's Sinlges Champion - MARAT SAFIN

Congratulations Marat Safin! Good job.
This was the best ever Australian Open Grand Slam for me!

I felt sad when Safin lost 1-6 to Hewitt in the first set. Oh c'mon you can't win if you are angry. Take a deep breath, etc...What a marvelous comeback from Safin. He finally got to do what he got to do. Good job to Hewitt too. Few moments in the game Safin's ball move to the left and right continously and Hewitt ran from one end of the court to the other end. My GOD!!! Hewit's motto=Never said die. Hewitt really played a lot better this year so is Safin but Safin outlast him. Safin's the MAN.

Prior to AO, Safin said this(AO) was his destiny. Indeed! He was in very good form, his coach was ex-Federer and he defeated the undefeate(Federer).

He once annihilate Pete Sampras(the great, Agassi come after him) in Masters Series of Toronto, in August 2000. How could I have miss that game. AO was his 2nd Grand Slam titles. There will be more to come.

Have a good night sleep. I know I will.
