PUB 11/23/2004: My Che-cheh

Must be wondering why my blog is called Che-Cheh. Che-Cheh is short for chester chester. Yeah, my golden retriever dog. His full name is Lord Chester Bennington Khew. I bought the Lord title from lelong.com. *wink wink* He is 1 yr and 1.5mths old. Birthday : 3rd Oct 2003 Weight near to 35kg. I think so.

I am a previous owner of another dog. We adopted him from PAWS. His name was Lassie. Taken from the Lassie's movie. That's the only dog name i knew at that time. Only thing we know about him was his birthday month-August. I was 15yrs old then. But something bad happened that we have to gave him away. Thou he make a good barking dog. He never learnt to sit or shake hand or lie down.

Fast forward 10yrs +, I am now with my Chester. Oh my dear Chester. He learn every tricks that we teach him. Sit, stand, lie down, shake hand, come here, stay, wait, ok, hi-5, speak, finish it(finish his food), go to sis/mom/dad/grandma, fetch your bone/tennis ball/ball-ball, balance cookie on your nose, let me hug u, go inside your bed, shake your bon-bon(shake his body like a dog do when they are wet), u want ice-cream?. Though he doesn't know how to watch tv or sing...LOL Dislike cutting nails(lots of blood due to my skills) but like water very much and go 'hang kai-kai'(travel in the car).

Fate Intervene: Last year oct-nov i was searching for golden retriever(GR) puppy at The Star. I contacted many breeders and went puppy-hunting for 2 wks. Lo and behold 3rd time is my lucky charm. The breeder stay in Cheras, a lady. She have 7 GR puppies. 5 dogs and 2 bitches. We were contemplating whether to buy now or later. The lady keep pushing us telling that the good one may be bought if i come later. We was the first to look at those cute pups. She wanted RM1600. After several bargain, all of us agreed at RM1550. The lady were good enough. She and her hubby bring us to a pet shop to buy food and cage. I were not sure which pup to choose but we wanted a male. My sis choose for me. Good work Nick. All the pups already MKA certified and have microchip. Pauline own 2 cream color GR bitches. She breed one of the GR with her friends award winning gold golor GR dog. Chester's is from the 2nd era. Meaning Pauline's bitch become mommy 2nd time.

Journey Home With Us :The lady(Pauline) bring our pup out to go potty surrounded by fence. Then we bring him inside the car. He was so tiny man. We place him beside me and Nick. Journey home was plesant. He sleep and then wake all the way. When we reach home, we let him potty. Then we set up his house (evil lar cage) while he were in the fence with newspaper under it. He started biting the newspaper and we know he's 'alah' to newspaper. That night and few nights ahead, he cried until we get up to see wat's wrong. We did leave the light on for him. BTW, he stay IN our house.

Growing Up With Chester : He gives me joy, laughter and some spanking. More photos(photos must be online then only can attach, leceh leh) and chester's news next time. Moreover this blog is dedicated to him.
